![]() Can anyone help me with which title this was, and even more hopefully, maybe a website I could download it from, or possibly in the 9,99 bin at Fry's somewhere? As usual, you guys ROCK! Grundman Anyways, I FOOLISHLY lent it to a 'unreliable' friend, and the CD is sadly gone for good. The software package had, now get this: Tales of the Arabian Nights, Creature from the Black Lagoon, a FLAWLESS recreation of The Black Rose, and I think one other table that I can't remeber anymore. I need your help trying to remember one I had, and after joining this 'club', didn't even realize how valuable the damn thing was, since it clearly had some of the most popular tables here, and with no offense to the VP developers or the table makers, the best computer representations of a real pinball machine I've ever played. Hey guys, I, like the original poster, used to check out nearly all the pinball games that came out, most were very unrealistic with terrible physics and graphics, but there were a few diamonds in the rough. It's interesting, some of these old pc games are becoming classics in their own right and getting some age under them, just like real pinball! I just hope there are relatively simple ways to keep playing most of these games for years to come.so that our kids can play the pc pinball games that we used to play when we were kids (man would that make you feel old or what?). More like dx1 (or whatever the hell was before that!). And obviously a game made in '93 was waaay before dx8. They must have been updating the others because if you go to their download page (), they all at least require dx8 to run. I think this is because they just never kept updating that one (I wonder if I have Tristian stashed anywhere tho). The 1st of the littlewing series was actually a game called Tristian in 1990, although you can't even download that one anymore. This once again goes to show how impressive it was for the Pro Pinball people to step it up that much further just a couple years later. Apparently it won an award in 1993 for being the best simulation. Wow, I'll need to see if this one still runs, but it was released (at least originally) in 1993. I'll report if any old games that ran on XP or Vista no longer run on Windows 7 and 64 bit, but so far so good.Ĭrystal Caliburn. And good job Windows 7, I really like it, and its playing my oldie but goodie games. Not just visually and with great physics, but something that keeps standing the test of time. It plays just as well as it did back when I was on 32 bit XP years ago! Amazing! Thank you Pro Pinball devs for making such a great game. Long story short, I crossed my fingers the other day and installed The Web (on Win 7, 64 bit). Then the newer 3 PP games, with timeshock being about as old as The Web, all support 1600x1200! Impressive. ![]() Which, for the game being 14 years old, 1024x was pretty cutting edge back then. The only 1 thing keeping The Web from being quite as good as those is that The Web can only do 1024x resolution. ![]() And, IMO, this STILL holsd true today! Timeshock, BRUSA, & FJ especially are impressive. I remember 4 or 5 years ago remarking on how amazed I was that this game in particular (along with the other 3 PP games) still played and looked good enough to match any other pinball game on the market. Of course the game I'm talking about is Pro Pinball - The Web. I chucked when during install I was asked if I would like to install DX2. I worried about how a DX11 圆4 OS would deal with a pinball game developed 14 years ago (featuring DX2!). I just switched to the latest greatest OS, Windows 7, and for the 1st time in my life I've gone 64 bit. But I'm glad I have, cuz I know some of these games at this point probably can't be found anywhere. Not sure why I feel the need to make sure I have them all, as I rarely play most of them, though I will again at some point. From the one's nobody has ever heard of, to the more popular ones. Not familiar with Hyper 3D, damn maybe thats even before my time, dos! But I've made it a point to colllect every single pc and platform pinball game known to man. I actually got Hyper 3D Pinball working in dos!!! I remember trying to get it to work on an older pc when I first got the disc. Pinball Madness comes with Looney Labrynth, Crystal Caliburn, Hyper 3D Pinball and Full Tilt. I just found one of my old Pinball compilation CDs.
